Gunite

Today the guys were at the house by 6:30 AM ready to shoot the gunite.  The tarped off the house as well as the trees and plants.  Here is the first picture Donny sent me.  Donny tells me they finished the shoot at about 2PM this afternoon.  More pictures later tonight..

Steel Inspection Passed

Donny just informed me that we passed Pre-gunite steel inspection, so gunite should be shot tomorrow and Wednesday.  This means Heather and I need to finalize our coping flagstone tonight.  90% sure we are going with mesquite charcoal.

Pictures before Gunite

Not much happening the last few days.  Steel had some minor changes and some trenches backfilled.  Just waiting for unite in 2 days.  Here are some pictures from around the yard of the steel, the plumbing, the equipment, and our flagstone choice.

Steel Repair

Today Donny's guys are fixing the steel (should be a quick fix) and filling in some of the trenches.  Monday we will have another inspection and then hopefully gunite on Teusday.   heather and I are 90% sure we are going with mesquite charcoal quartz flagstone for the pool coping, we have until Teusday to finalize.  I will post pictures tonight when I get home.

Inspection Day

Plumbing and Electrical inspection today.  If we pass gunite will be shot tomorrow.  I will keep you updated as I here from Donny. 
Talked to Donny at Noon.  We passed plumbing, electrical, and gas but we failed steel.  Quick fix on the rebar tomorrow, inspection again Monday, and then gunite Teusday. 
Underground passed so the trenches will be filled today and tomorrow.

Plumbing and Electrical Trenching

 

Today the guys finished the plumbing and ran the electrical conduit. We now have 2 lights in the pool and one light in the spa. Tomorrow they are going to finish the electrical and get ready foe inspection Thursday. Heather and I are deciding on flagstone today, Cabinet Gorge and Sydney Peak. Heather gets final say, I can't tell the difference. 

 

Plumbing and Trenching

Today they started digging trenches for the plumbing and electrical runs.  Lots of dirt and deep holes everywhere.  Donny is going to bring flagstone samples tonight and the plumbing should be finished by this afternoon.  Not sure what's on tape for tomorrow.

Finalizing layout

Saturday morning we met with Donny to finalize the layout of the pool, mark out our entrance steps, decide on spa entrance, and jet pattern.  This morning we narrowed down our flagstone coping choices to 5.  Donny is going to bring us samples early this week.  Plumbing should be tomorrow, followed by electrical, and hopefully unite by the end of the week.

Steel Install

Today they are putting in the rebar and getting ready for plumbing on Monday.  Things are moving so fast right now, but they will slow after gunite is shot next week.  Payment #1 is due tomorrow which covers excavation and steel.

Dig Day #2

Dump trucks were at the house at 7 AM sharp.  Framing will be completed and form of pool and spa should be completed today.  Hopefully bobcats will be gone although the kids love them!!
Donny says steel tomorrow.
