Thursday Rain.

Not sure if the masons will be in today.  Second pallet of flagstone should be delivered..  We will see.

No Rain...

Hopefully we will get through today with no rain.  The masons are puzzling the flagstone again and possibly veneering the spa.  Pictures to follow.

The outside of the spa was veneered today so most of the stacked stone is complete. 

I finished taking the shingles of the shed roof and took the trim off the siding.  Hopefully Saturday we will be able to cut the shed down.

Stacked Stone Veneer

While we are waiting for the 2nd pallet of flagstone the masons started installing the stacked stone veneer.  He got about halfway around the pool and the spa is also left.  I have been tearing the roof off a portion of the shed to prepare to cut it down in order to pass inspection.  (long story).

Leveling for Decking

Mason has been at the house the last few days leveling deck for concrete pour.  We are still in a holding pattern with the flagstone, the 2nd load should be delivered sometime late today.  Hopefully after we get back from Thanksgiving at Mom's the coping will be done.  Fingers crossed.

Coping cemented beginning

 

Friday the masons began cementing some of the coping down to the unite.  They also edged the inside of the coping on the pool side.  Surprisingly I am very happy with the color of the coping especially when wet.

More Puzzling

Hopefully the masons will finish the flagstone puzzling today.  they still have the back wall and the spa left.  Very tedious and time consuming process.

Puzzling

Today the masons are finishing up the "puzzling" of the flagstone coping.  Hopefully they will be able to startin installing tomorrow.  I will try to get home to get some pictures.  So far happy with the color.  I went ahead and made a grout color choice of gray today.  With my eyes you never know.  Hahahahaha

Flagstone Delivered...

Today (11/13)  they are delivering our flagstone and hopefully start the coping this afternoon.

Still no flagstone, hopefully today.  There was a mix up at the stone yard.  In the mean time the guys are roughing in the drains around the yard.  Right now I see 2 in the front yard and 8 in the back yard.

Well as you can see from the picture the flagstone was delivered and the masons started laying out the coping.  Now 12 drains in the backyard.

Trenching For Drains and Decking

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday they started digging the tranches for the deck drains.  Donny also sprayed the outline of the decks in the yard.  After they form the decks heather and i will make any necessary changes.

 

Back Filling Trenches

Yesterday the guys cleaned up the leftover gunite and filled the pipe trenches.  The pool is starting to look like a pool now with a form and flat walkways.  They are still dirt but at least we can walk around the pool without falling in a hole.  I will post pictures tonight.

Donny and the mason and I are going to paint the decks in on Teusday.
